Player of the month - October

Chris Bright has been announced as the Punjab United Player of the Month for October.

Manager Amrit Poonia commented on his performances and the way he has kept the team together as a major factor in the club during the four games in the month in which they lost 1-2 to Ristee Towers and beat Wellingborough Old Grammarians 6-1,Kettering Park Rovers 7-1 and knocking Corby Flamingo out of the NFA Junior cup. In the process scoring against Wellingborough Old grammarians and a superb strike against Corby Flamingo.

He has been described by his team mates as the driving force behind a great team performance in the last month which has pinpointed him as a major player in the teams chances for success this season.

Player of the month - September


Duncan Homer was named player of the month for September for Punjab United.

Manager Amrit described him as a key component of the squad whose versatility is a major plus for a very impressive squad.

He can operate in every position in defence and midfield which makes him very important to the structure of the team.

When he was selected to play as sweeper for Punjab in the month of September Punjab won 3 and drew 1 of the four games. In the process forming a solid partnership alongside skipper Paul Hetherington.

He also has three goals to his name.
