PLAYER OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 2008

Punjab are pleased to announce the player of the month for November 2008 is Michael Chong.

Michael has scored 7 goals in 5 games with a total of 11 in 10 league games so far.

This has coincided with Punjab hitting the summit with 5 straight wins.

Most notable strikes were his opener versus Corby Phoenix as well as his stunning double versus Earls Barton.

Well done to Michael on picking up this award.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER 2008

Player of the Month for October 2008 is Jazz Saini who operated at Centre Back, Left midfield and Centre Midfield.

He picked up MOM versus Kingfisher in what was a very unlucky 2-1 defeat.

Well done Jazz on picking up the award.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER 2008

Punjab's player of the month for September 2008 is goalkeeper Leon De La Huliniere.

Leon has come into the team and showed good character in the early part of the season which also saw him net the MOM award as Punjab picked up 3 points against JK Blisworth.
From all at Punjab a big well done to Leon for picking up this award.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - APRIL 2008

Punjab are pleased to announce Hassan Mumin as the player of the month for April 2008.

Hassan stepped into the role as Goalkeeper after impressing in training.

He has played 4 games in April in which Punjab won 3 and lost 1 game.

This has seen Hassan keep Punjab on course for promotion with a Man Of The Match performance versus Cold Ashby that we won 2-1.

He produced some smart saves as Punjab beat Wellingborough Ranelagh 3-1 in the last game of the season.

Finally he was instrumental in Punjab winning the Divisional Cup last week with many telling interceptions from corners before assisting Andrew Cox with the late equaliser to take the game into extra time before Punjab won the cup.

A big well done to Hassan from all at Punjab.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2008

Punjab United are pleased to announce Michael Chong as the Player Of The Month for March.

In the month Punjab won 3 and drew 2 of there 5 games.

Michael scored twice to put Punjab in the Divisional Cup final with goals versus Gretton and he scored a hat trick in Punjab's 6-3 win over Clipston which maintained there title push.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - FEBRUARY 2008

Punjab are pleased to announce Michael Logue as the player of the month for February 2008.

Michael was an integral part of the side that that made the Quarter Final of the County Cup in which they beat Peterborough Castor & Ailsworth 3-1 before a very unlucky defeat to Great Doddington.

He also produced a comprehensive performance and put the seal on a 3-0 win over Ringstead with the 3rd goal that day.

Michael an excellent pro who encourages all players during training and on match days.

He has fitted into a very good side with no pressure and can adapt to playing alongside any of the midfield players.

With the club chasing honours on two fronts still his experience and quality will be vital for the side.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - JANUARY 2008

Punjab United are pleased to announce the Player Of The Month For January 2008 is Jaspal Saini.

Jazza was instrumental in the month which saw Punjab go unbeaten.

He scored a hat trick in the 6-0 win over Weedon from centre half.

He hit a volley in the top of the table clash that saw Punjab beat Finedon Volta 5-2.

He topped a solid month of by guiding Punjab to the last four of the Divisional Cup in a comfortable 5-0 win which saw Punjab keep 2 clean sheets.

A big well done to Jazza and his team mates for a great month and a platform for the remainder of the season.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - DECEMBER

Punjab United are pleased to announce Warren Barry as the December Player Of The Month.

Winger warren returned after a spell on the sidelines with an impressive return to the first team fold with some excellent performances.

He made his return in the county cup 8-4 win over Kingscliffe. He went on to hit the opener in the 2-0 win over Islip. Followed that up with the goal against Wilbarston in the 1-1 draw.

He also netted in the 6-3 defeat of Gretton and produced a top performance in the 4-1 win over Burton United.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 2007

Striker Andrew Cox

Punjab are pleased to announce Andrew Cox as the Player of the Month for November 2007.

He made a telling contribution that lead Punjab into the 2nd round of the Divisional Cup with a goal in the 2-1 win over Kettering Orchard Park. He went on to score a brace in the league fixture versus K.O.P the week after the second being a brillant volley from 20yards.

The week after he netted a hat trick, a tap in, Bicycle kick and a 35yard drive in a game that Punjab lost 6-4 to wollaston.

To this point he has 16 for the season and also his 50th goal for the club.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH - OCTOBER

Ahmet Huseyin in action

Punjab are pleased to announce Ahmet Huseyin as the Player of the Month for October 2007.

Ahmet played a starring role at full back versus Clipston in the month and also helped Punjab beat Weedon

3-2 (away), Rushden Corner Flag 2-2 (away) and an emphatic 5-2 win over Northampton Far Cotton Loco in the County Cup.
